New FEMZIP Release v17.1.1119
With FEMZIP-L v17, we released a new version of our FEMZIPTM compression tools for LS-DYNATM simulation results. Building on a completely new software stack, FEMZIP-L v17 superseeds the run time performance of FEMZIP-L v16 drastically:
- Compression is accelerated by a factor of 3
- Loading into postprocessors is accelerated by an factor of 2.
The new version also supports format features not supported in previous FEMZIP-L versions:
- Double precision
- NBRANCH_TREE
- Beams 1D: Internal Energy
- IGEOM=2
- PENOUT & ENOUT results
- Intfor results with NENG and NPEN
For postprocessing FEMZIP-L v17 compressed files, new decompression libraries have to be integrated. The first postprocessor version supporting FEMZIP-L v17 compressed files are listed as follows:
- Single Precision results:
- Animator v2.7.2
- OASYS D3PLOT 21.1
- LS-Prepost 4.12.4
- META 25.0.2
- Hyperview 2025.1
- Double Precision:
- Animator v2.7.3
Moreover, with FEMZIP-L v17, we introduced a new parameter file format. FEMZIP-L v17 is compatible with old parameter files, but we recommend to change to the new format since it is less sensitive to formatting issues.
The new version v17.1.1119 is available in our Client Area. It requires the new license feature “FEMZIP-L” usually already available in your license files.
